It Has Been a Long Time....

It has been a long time since I've posted anything....then again....all the holidays has to bring can be as much enjoyable as it is exhausting!  I'm still plugging away at my next book and I really enjoy the creative process of it all.  I'm also longing for January to be over with!  It has to be one of the bleakest months of the year!  Has anyone broken his/her New Year's Resolution yet???  Mostly everyone does by now, even with the best of intentions! LOL

'Tis the Season

I've been shopping lately for Christmas presents for everybody....I definitely avoided the Black Friday Extravaganza(too much for me).  It's usually a last minute dash, but I wanted this year to be different.  I love all the festivities and I'm a sucker for those holiday movies (especially the old ones on TCM that I grew up with), hot chocolate, popcorn, a warm fire, and a cozy blanket---HEAVEN!

This will mark the second year that I will be traveling down to Georgia to be with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren for Christmas....and I love every moment of it!

The Savannah Children's Book Festival

What a bright and sunny day!  The weather was delightful and so was the company!  I enjoyed conversing with fellow authors, making some contacts, and most of all, meeting everybody that walked by!  It was a lot to do to prepare for this event and it was well worth it! 

Thank you to everybody who came by and bought a book and a butterfly...it meant the world to me :)

As the Summer Draws to a Close

Summer is winding down, even though it won't be officially over for another month (the heat too!), the school bells are starting to ring, and everybody is packing away their vacation luggage. I hope everyone enjoyed all that the season had to offer!  Was there a novel or collection of short stories that you couldn't put down?  Tell me about it! I know I had my share.  I'm still reading The Senator's Wife by Sue Miller.
